Supernormal Brisbane + Bar Miette

Andrew McConnell and Jo McGann of Melbourne’s Trader House group opened their highly anticipated premiere Queensland venues Supernormal Brisbane and Bar Miette in July 2024.

The lively, Asian-influenced Melbourne favourite acknowledges its second Supernormal location through both the menu and design – with the menu influenced by fresh local produce and design cues hinting at the landscape and sub-tropical Queensland climate.

The European-inspired café and terrace bar that is Bar Miette provides a lively neighbourhood meeting place for residents, city workers and diners seeking an uncomplicated casual atmosphere and menu to enjoy as the occasion dictates throughout the day and late into the night.

As Melbourne’s most iconic and critically acclaimed establishment group, Trader House embodies the values and culinary culture of Australian dining. They are acclaimed locally and internationally for being at the forefront of quality, creativity, dependability and diligence.

New Initiative focused on the vision, heritage qualities that define Trader House and the unique Queensland interpretation of McConnell’s iconic Melbourne institution in the delivery and implementation of the launch strategy of both venues which included: PR activity and brand communications; VIP hosting; concierge and guest services support; photography and content direction and management of strategic partnerships.
